The Chaplain’s Journey

Reverend Chaplain Héctor Morales was born in Naranjito, Puerto
Rico. He holds a Master of Divinity from Northern Baptist
Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois, along with specialized
research studies in the fields of thanatology, loss, bereavement, and end-of-life issues.

With more than twenty-five years of professional experience,
Chaplain Morales has served in Military, Institutional, and Hospice
Chaplaincy.

He was ordained in 1997 by the American Baptist Church (ABC/USA), Great Rivers Region, and completed his Clinical Pastoral Education Internship (4 Units) at Florida Hospital in 2000.

He is a Retired Minister from the Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ) in the U.S. and Canada.

Chaplain Morales lives in Orlando, Florida, with his wife Damaris.
They have two daughters, Naddia and Margie, and three
grandchildren: Natalia, Alexander, and Michelle.
